Beyond the Classroom

Through this program, students and faculty gain insider access to traditional and organic farmlands, wildlife habitats, museums, conservation organizations, local businesses, government agencies and other sites to examine how environment and culture are closely interconnected - and how changes to one affect the other. The program recognizes the value of community-based learning.

Connecting the campus to the community provides a unique educational opportunity for students and faculty. CES has developed a list of community partners within easy reach of campus, as well as a list of possible activities for each location.
